Cloak & Dagger (Season 2)
Two teenagers from very different backgrounds awaken to newly acquired superpowers which mysteriously link them to one another.
Conclusion of the Cloak & Dagger story. No Doomsday thread.
Why It Matters in the MCU
The Freeform series is the MCU's only explicitly teenage romance-centred superhero narrative, building on the complementary powers of Tyrone and Tandy — darkness and light, absorb and project — as metaphors for the specific fears and hopes of adolescence. The New Orleans setting gives the series a visual and cultural identity distinct from the urban-darkness aesthetic of the Netflix shows, and the Roxxon conspiracy contextualises the protagonists' powers politically. The series is underseen relative to its quality, partly because its platform placement distanced it from the main MCU audience.
Where It Fits in the MCU
Cloak & Dagger (Season 2) sits at position 64 of 133 in the MCU's story-chronological order, placing it within the Phase 3B — Civil War & Fallout (2016–2018) era. It is rated Optional — can be skipped without losing the main thread. Watching in story-chronological order provides the most coherent character development experience — individual arcs build naturally toward the franchise's major crossover events, with each film's post-credits scenes carrying forward into what follows.
