Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Season 4)
Elena "Yo-Yo" Rodriguez, an Inhuman with the ability to move at super-speed, is required to sign the Sokovia Accords. However, the restrictions of the Accords are in direct conflict with a personal mission she's desperate to fulfill, one that will test her abilities and will include tense encounters with S.H.I.E.L.D. team members.
Ghost Rider and the Darkhold — the same book Wanda uses in MoM. Rich lore, but no Doomsday thread.
Why It Matters in the MCU
Season 4 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. introduced Ghost Rider in its opening arc — the franchise's most unexpected tonal pivot in the ABC run — before pivoting into the Framework simulation storyline, which explored what the core characters would have become if HYDRA had won. The Slingshot web series expanded the AoS universe with a format that predated the Disney+ short-form content strategy by several years. Together they represent the series at its most formally experimental.
Where It Fits in the MCU
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Season 4) sits at position 56 of 133 in the MCU's story-chronological order, placing it within the Phase 3B — Civil War & Fallout (2016–2018) era. It is rated Optional — can be skipped without losing the main thread. Watching in story-chronological order provides the most coherent character development experience — individual arcs build naturally toward the franchise's major crossover events, with each film's post-credits scenes carrying forward into what follows.
