Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.

Watch note

Fisk is Mayor of New York. Matt is openly Daredevil. This is the culmination of the entire Netflix Daredevil run.

Why It Matters in the MCU

The continuation of the Netflix Daredevil in the MCU proper reunites Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio in a version of Hell's Kitchen that sits explicitly within the MCU timeline. The challenge — whether the tonal darkness of the Netflix run can survive in the more interconnected Marvel universe — shapes every creative decision, from the street-level cases to the political infrastructure Fisk is now building through legitimate power. It is the test case for whether Netflix-era character development can survive franchise reintegration.
